Their alerts, which they sent to the Information Security Office, were helpful because we didn’t know these emails were circulating. One email had the subject line "Payroll Adjustment close in 30mins" and the other had the subject line "Creative-VA 2019.12.09." Both emails contained links that looked suspicious.

Fortunately, both of the links in the emails had already been rendered ineffective by the time the Information Security Office investigated. However, it is always good to remain vigilant and be careful not to click on links or open attachments in suspicious emails. We really appreciate the help from our Longwood community in protecting the university!
