Established in 1987, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) has consistently been one of the largest national conferences for promoting undergraduate research, creative, and scholastic achievement. This four day annual event draws hundreds of talented students representing over 400 colleges and universities nationally.
Students present their researching in a variety of different ways:
- Topical sessions of 15 minute oral presentations
- Interdisciplinary poster sessions
- Artistic performances and visual art exhibits
An additional portion of NCUR includes plenary sessions led by nationally prominent speakers sharing their perspectives on educational policy, various programs and initiatives, funding opportunities for undergraduate research efforts, and career development. Longwood University is an Institutional Member of CUR therefore students and faculty can register for NCUR at the Institutional Member rate.
The Office of Student Research will pay for registration for students who have abstracts accepted for presentation at NCUR 2022.
