Dr. Sarai Blincoe is a Professor in the Department of Psychology. She joined the Longwood faculty in 2012 after earning her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Kentucky. She enjoys teaching social psychology, her Civitae Perspectives course on countering and preventing violent extremism, and the courses in the Psychology Department's professional development sequence (120, 320, 460).
She also serves as Longwood's Director of Program Effectiveness. In that role she oversees the implementation of Longwood's Quality Enhancement Plan: Preparing for Post-Graduate Success.
Dr. Blincoe lives in Farmville with her husband (Adam Blincoe, Senior Lecturer in Longwood's Cormier Honors College) and children. Her parents live just down the road and are the owner/operators of BrightEyes Alpaca Retreat. She enjoys baking, tending a community garden, and hiking, and has the goal of visiting every Virginia State Park!
